Child privacy notice
A plain-language explanation of how Kito protects a child's learning space.
The parent is in charge
A child cannot open a family account alone. A parent creates the account, agrees to the privacy choices, adds the child profile, uploads school material, checks the questions and pairs the device the child will use.
What Kito knows
Kito may know a first name or nickname, a birth year, the chosen buddy, subjects a parent publishes, answers during rounds, rewards, streaks and ideas that need more practice. A child email address is not required.
Why Kito remembers answers
Answers help Kito teach after a mistake, keep first-try progress honest and bring difficult ideas back in a different form. They also help the parent see where support may be useful.
Games from a teacher
A teacher may prepare games for a class, but only the parent can connect that class to the child. The teacher does not see the child's name or personal history. Anonymous class totals are optional for the parent and appear to the teacher only when at least five learners take part.
What Kito does not do
- No advertising or behavioural advertising profiles.
- No public profile, follower system or open chat.
- No independent child purchases or document uploads.
- No sale of child personal information.
Parent access and deletion
The parent can see learning information, export family data, stop reminders, revoke a device and delete material, a child profile or the family account.
